Ingredients

  • 2 cups gin floral gin recommended
  • 0.5 cup ginger liqueur
  • 2 cups pear juice or pear purée fresh or bottled
  • 0.5 cup lemon juice
  • 0.25 cup simple syrup
  • 0.5 cup pomegranate juice
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup sparkling wine or ginger ale for topping

Instructions

  • Pour the gin, ginger liqueur, pear juice, lemon juice, simple syrup, and pomegranate juice into your shaker.
  • Add ice and shake for about 15 seconds, until cold.
  • Strain the mix into a large pitcher filled with ice.
  • Add the cinnamon stick and stir well.
  • Pour into cocktail glasses, filling each about 2/3 full.
  • Top each glass with sparkling wine or ginger ale.
  • Garnish with fresh ginger and pear slices, then serve immediately.

Notes

Use gin you enjoy drinking straight, and real pear juice or purée for best results. Add more ginger liqueur or cinnamon for extra spice. For a mocktail, use ginger ale and skip the gin/sparkling wine. Serve ice-cold and don't let it sit too long once mixed.
