Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon
  • 4 oz cold-brewed peach tea
  • 1 oz ginger simple syrup
  • Fresh peach slices
  • Fresh ginger root 2-inch piece
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Ice cubes

Optional: mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Add bourbon, cold peach tea, and ginger simple syrup to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  • Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain the mixture into a highball glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Garnish with peach slices and optional mint leaves.
  • To make ginger simple syrup:
  • Peel and slice ginger root. Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add sliced ginger and stir until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let steep for 30 minutes.
  • Strain the syrup and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

The ginger simple syrup stays fresh for up to 2 weeks when refrigerated.
Cold-brew the peach tea overnight for the best flavor.
Use high-quality bourbon for optimal taste.
Double strain the cocktail if you want to remove small ice chips.
