  • Kettle or small saucepan
  • Jigger
  • Bar spoon
  • Citrus juicer
  • Knife and cutting board

Ingredients

  • 2 oz whiskey bourbon or rye
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 3 oz hot water
  • 2 oz ginger beer room temp
  • Lemon wheel for garnish
  • Cinnamon stick optional garnish

Instructions

  • Add whiskey, honey, and lemon juice to a mug. Stir to dissolve honey.
  • Pour in hot water and stir gently.
  • Top with ginger beer and stir again.
  • Garnish with a lemon wheel and cinnamon stick.

Notes

Add more honey for sweetness, or extra ginger beer for fizz. Try with spiced rum or brandy. Serve immediately while hot. For more spice, infuse with fresh ginger slices.
