  • Bar spoon
  • Measuring jigger
  • Highball glass
  • Citrus juicer (optional)
  • Strainer (optional)

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Ghia non-alcoholic aperitif
  • 4 oz tonic water chilled
  • Ice cubes just enough to fill the glass
  • 1 wedge lemon or lime for garnish and squeeze of juice
  • Optional herbs mint or rosemary for aroma

Instructions

  • Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
  • Use a jigger to measure 2 oz of Ghia and pour it over the ice.
  • Add 4 oz chilled tonic water.
  • Stir slowly with a bar spoon so you don’t lose the fizz.
  • Squeeze a wedge of lemon or lime in, or drop it in after.
  • Add a sprig of mint or rosemary if you’d like.

Notes

Try a 1:2 Ghia to tonic water ratio, but adjust to taste.
Use a quality, dry tonic for a sharper flavor, or swap in orange peel for a twist.
Easy to batch for a group—just use a pitcher and multiply ingredients.
Serve ice-cold for the best fizz and flavor balance.
