Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri Cocktail Recipe

Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri Cocktail Recipe
I make this classic summer cocktail with ripe strawberries, fresh lime juice, and rum. The result is a cold, sweet drink that is easy to prepare at home.

Equipment

  • I use a sturdy blender that can crush ice well. A standard countertop blender works best for smooth results.
  • I keep a set of measuring cups and spoons ready for accuracy.
  • A jigger makes it easier to measure the rum and lime juice.
  • I also need a citrus juicer to squeeze fresh lime juice without effort.
  • For serving, I use wide-rimmed margarita or cocktail glasses.
  • A straw helps with sipping, but it's optional.
  • A long-handled spoon helps to scoop and stir the drink before serving.

Ingredients

For one large daiquiri or two small drinks, I use these ingredients:

  • Frozen strawberries 1 cup about 5 oz
  • White rum 2 ounces
  • Lime juice fresh 1 ounce
  • Simple syrup or sugar 1 tablespoon
  • Ice cubes 1 cup
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish Optional

Instructions

  • First, I add the frozen strawberries, rum, lime juice, simple syrup, and ice to my blender.
  • I blend everything on high until the texture is smooth and thick. If the mix is too stiff for the blender, I add a small splash of water or juice.
  • When it's blended, I pour the drink into a chilled glass. I sometimes garnish it with a slice of lime or a fresh strawberry on the rim.
  • If making a bigger batch, I double or triple the ingredients and blend in batches if needed.

Notes

I use frozen strawberries instead of fresh ones with added ice. Frozen berries keep the drink thick and cold without watering it down.
If I want a non-alcoholic drink, I leave out the rum and add extra strawberries with a splash of orange juice.
For a stronger drink, I add an extra half ounce of rum. Before serving, I always taste the daiquiri and adjust the sugar or lime to match my preference.
Using cold glasses keeps the drink from getting watery too quickly.
