Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Microwave-safe bowl or small saucepan
  • Spatula or spoon
  • Tall glasses
  • Whisk (optional)

Ingredients

  • 2 packets hot chocolate mix or 4 tablespoons
  • 1 cup milk whole milk preferred
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 2 tbsp sugar optional
  • whipped cream for topping
  • chocolate shavings or sprinkles for garnish
  • chocolate syrup optional, for drizzle

Instructions

  • Warm the milk and stir in hot chocolate mix until smooth and fully melted. Let cool for a minute.
  • In a blender, combine cooled hot chocolate base, ice cubes, and sugar (if using).
  • Blend until thick and slushy.
  • Pour into tall glasses. Top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and chocolate syrup if desired.

Notes

Crushed ice blends more smoothly than large cubes. Add more milk for a thinner drink, or more ice for a thicker slush. Adjust sweetness to taste. Top with extra whipped cream for a café-style treat!
