Ingredients

  • 1 banana ripe banana sliced and frozen
  • 2 oz white rum or dark rum for deeper flavor
  • 1 oz banana liqueur
  • 1 oz lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp coconut cream optional, for richness
  • 1 tsp brown sugar optional, for extra sweetness
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • banana slice or lime wheel for garnish

Instructions

  • Add the frozen banana, white rum, banana liqueur, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and coconut cream (if using) to a blender.
  • Add the ice cubes on top and blend on high for 20–30 seconds until smooth and creamy.
  • Taste and, if desired, blend in the brown sugar or a touch more syrup for sweetness.
  • Pour into a chilled coupe or hurricane glass and garnish with a banana slice or lime wheel. Serve immediately.

Notes

Overripe bananas add the best flavor and natural sweetness. For a lighter version, skip the coconut cream and add a splash more lime juice. If the drink softens, re-blend with a few fresh ice cubes.
