Equipment

  • Punch bowl (2-gallon capacity)
  • Large mixing spoon
  • Measuring cups
  • Ice bucket
  • Ladle: For serving.
  • Pitcher (optional for mixing)
  • Glassware (tumblers or mason jars work well)
  • Cutting board and knife for fruit preparation
  • Citrus juicer (optional)

Ingredients

Base Ingredients:

  • 4 cups cranberry juice
  • 3 cups pineapple juice
  • 2 cups orange juice freshly squeezed if possible
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 2 liters ginger ale or lemon-lime soda
  • 1 cup grenadine syrup

For Adult Version:

  • 2 cups white rum
  • 1 cup orange liqueur

Garnishes:

  • 2 oranges sliced into rounds
  • 1 lemon sliced into rounds
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries halved
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • Fresh mint sprigs
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • Chill all juices and soda for at least 4 hours before making the punch.
  • Wash and prep all the fruit garnishes. Slice up those oranges and lemons, halve the strawberries.
  • Combine cranberry juice, pineapple juice, orange juice, and lemon juice in your punch bowl. Give it a good stir.
  • Pour in the grenadine and mix until everything looks even.
  • If you're going for the adult version, add the white rum and orange liqueur now. Stir again.
  • Right before serving, pour in the ginger ale or lemon-lime soda. Stir gently—nobody wants flat punch.
  • Toss in a bunch of ice cubes to keep things cold.
  • Float the fruit slices and berries on top. Looks fancy, right?
  • Garnish with fresh mint sprigs for that extra touch.
  • Serve it up in chilled glasses. Add more ice if you like your drinks extra cold.

Notes

This recipe should serve about 20 people. If you're expecting a big crowd, just double everything.
For a non-alcoholic punch, swap the rum and orange liqueur for extra juice or sparkling water.
You can prep the punch up to a day ahead—just hold off on adding the soda until the last minute so it stays fizzy.
Want it sweeter? Add 1/2 cup simple syrup. Prefer it less sweet? Try cutting the grenadine down to 1/2 cup.
Freezing some of the fruit garnishes is a neat trick. It keeps the punch cold and doesn't water it down.
This punch is a great match for barbecue, appetizers, or basically any summer dessert you can think of.
