This spooky martini uses lychee “eyeballs” and a swirl of dry ice fog to turn heads at any Halloween party. It’s crisp, sweet, and just weird enough to make everyone want a sip.

Equipment

  • Martini glass
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Strainer
  • Tongs or gloves (for dry ice)
  • Spoon (for eyeball garnish)
  • Small bowl (for sugaring rim, optional)
  • Paper towels

Ingredients

  • 2 oz gin
  • 1 oz vodka
  • 1 oz triple sec
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 1 oz lychee syrup or canned lychee juice
  • 2 canned lychees for eyeballs
  • 2 fresh blueberries stuffed into lychees
  • Small piece of food-grade dry ice optional, for fog effect
  • Ice cubes for shaking
  • Orange slice for rimming the glass, optional
  • Sugar for rimming the glass, optional

Instructions

  • Chill the martini glass by placing it in the freezer or filling with ice water.
  • (Optional) Rim the glass with orange slice, then dip in sugar.
  • Stuff a blueberry into each lychee to create “eyeballs.” Set aside.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Add gin, vodka, triple sec, simple syrup, and lychee syrup.
  • Shake until the shaker feels icy cold.
  • Strain into your chilled martini glass.
  • Drop in one lychee “eyeball.”
  • Using tongs or gloves, add a pea-sized piece of dry ice for the fog effect.
  • (Optional) Garnish with orange slice or extra “eyeball.”
  • Wait for dry ice to dissolve completely before drinking.
