Ingredients

  • 2 oz chilled eggnog
  • 1.5 oz vodka plain or vanilla
  • 0.5 oz coffee liqueur or amaretto optional
  • ice cubes
  • ground nutmeg or cinnamon for garnish

  • crushed peppermint candy optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill your cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  • Pour in the eggnog, vodka, and coffee liqueur or amaretto if using.
  • Shake for about 10-15 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain into a short tumbler or rocks glass with fresh ice.
  • Add whipped cream on top if desired.
  • Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon for garnish.
  • For a peppermint twist, rim the glass with crushed peppermint candy before pouring.

Notes

Fresh eggnog—homemade or store-bought—tastes best. Amaretto or vanilla vodka adds sweetness, while cinnamon on top gives a nice kick. Italian eggnog offers a richer flavor. Peppermint on the rim is festive, and whipped cream adds indulgence.
