Equipment

  • Highball glass or hurricane glass
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Bar spoon
  • Jigger
  • Ice cubes
  • Tongs or gloves (for dry ice)

Ingredients

  • oz vodka omit for mocktail
  • 1 oz blue curaçao liqueur or blue curaçao syrup for non-alcoholic
  • 4 oz lemonade fresh or store-bought
  • 2 oz Sprite adds fizz and sweetness
  • ½ oz lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • ½ oz simple syrup optional, for extra sweetness
  • Ice cubes for shaking and chilling
  • 1 small piece of food-grade dry ice optional, for fog effect
  • Lemon wheel or cherry for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • Fill your shaker with regular ice cubes.
  • Add vodka, blue curaçao, lemonade, and lemon juice to the shaker.
  • Shake for about 10 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain into a glass filled with fresh ice cubes.
  • Top with Sprite and stir gently with a bar spoon.
  • Taste and add simple syrup if needed.
  • Garnish with a lemon wheel or cherry.
  • Just before serving, use tongs to add a pea-sized piece of dry ice for the smoky effect.
  • Do not sip until fogging stops or dry ice settles completely.
