Ingredients

  • 1 oz black vodka or regular vodka + a few drops black food coloring
  • 1 oz coconut rum or white rum
  • 0.5 oz coffee liqueur e.g., Kahlúa
  • 0.5 oz Frangelico liqueur
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz grenadine
  • 0.5 oz passion fruit juice or pineapple juice
  • Crushed ice enough to fill the serving glass
  • Ice cubes for shaking
  • Garnish: lemon slice blackberry, or spooky fruit of choice

Instructions

  • Add ice cubes to a cocktail shaker.
  • Pour in black vodka, coconut rum, coffee liqueur, Frangelico, fresh lemon juice, grenadine, and fruit juice.
  • Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
  • Fill a rocks glass with crushed ice.
  • Strain the mixture into the glass using a Hawthorne strainer.
  • Optional: Use the back of a bar spoon to layer grenadine at the bottom for a spooky effect.
  • Garnish with lemon, blackberry, or any Halloween-themed touch.
  • Serve immediately while cold and eerie.
