Equipment

  • Highball or tall glass
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Bar spoon
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Citrus juicer
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Muddler (optional)
  • Small plate (for rimming or garnishes)
  • Ice cubes

Ingredients

  • 2 oz cranberry juice sweetened or unsweetened
  • 1.5 oz vodka
  • 1 oz fresh orange juice
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 3 oz ginger beer cold
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional Garnishes:
  • Fresh cranberries
  • Lime or orange slice
  • Rosemary sprig

Instructions

  • Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
  • In a shaker, combine vodka, cranberry juice, orange juice, and lime juice with a few ice cubes.
  • Shake well for about 10–15 seconds.
  • Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
  • Slowly top with cold ginger beer.
  • Stir gently to combine.
  • Garnish with cranberries and a lime or orange slice if desired.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, just skip the vodka and add more ginger beer or a splash of sparkling water.
Use sweetened cranberry juice for a softer, fruity flavor; unsweetened gives it a bold tart kick.
If you like it spicier, choose a ginger beer with more bite or muddle cranberries at the bottom for extra punch.
Stir after adding ginger beer to keep the bubbles intact.
Prep everything cold—juice, ginger beer, glass—to keep the cocktail crisp and refreshing.
