Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka plain or cranberry vodka
  • 2 oz cranberry juice unsweetened or lightly sweetened
  • 3 oz eggnog store-bought or homemade
  • 1 tsp maple syrup or simple syrup optional, for sweetness
  • ground nutmeg or cinnamon for garnish
  • fresh cranberries for garnish
  • orange peel twist optional garnish
  • ice cubes for shaking and serving

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes.
  • Add vodka, cranberry juice, eggnog, and syrup if desired.
  • Shake for 10–15 seconds until cold and slightly frothy.
  • Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Sprinkle nutmeg or cinnamon on top. Garnish with cranberries or orange peel. Serve immediately.

Notes

Unsweetened cranberry juice balances the rich eggnog. Use cranberry vodka for extra berry flavor. For a warm version, skip the ice and stir gently instead of shaking. Fresh cranberries look festive but are optional.
