Equipment

  • A large pitcher
  • A long spoon for stirring
  • Ice cube trays
  • Glasses for serving
  • A citrus juicer (optional)
  • A knife and cutting board

Ingredients

For 6 servings, you'll need:

  • 3 cups cranberry juice
  • 2 cups pomegranate juice
  • 1 cup sparkling water or club soda
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice about 2-3 limes
  • 1/4 cup sugar optional
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh cranberries and lime slices for garnish

For a stronger drink, add 1 cup of vodka or gin. You can also use diet cranberry juice to cut calories.

Instructions

  • In the pitcher, mix cranberry juice, pomegranate juice, and sugar (if using). Stir until sugar dissolves.
  • Add lime juice and stir again.
  • Just before serving, add sparkling water and ice. Stir gently to mix.
  • Pour into glasses filled with ice.
  • Garnish each glass with fresh cranberries and a lime slice.
  • Chill the juices beforehand for an extra cold drink.

You can make the base mix ahead of time and add the sparkling water when ready to serve.

    Notes

This recipe is easy to adjust. For a sweeter drink, add more sugar or use lemon-lime soda instead of sparkling water.
For less sugar, use unsweetened juices.
You can swap pomegranate juice for another fruit juice like apple or grape. Fresh pomegranate seeds make a nice garnish too.
For a non-alcoholic version, leave out the vodka or gin. Kids love this fruity, bubbly drink.
Store any leftover mix in the fridge for up to 3 days. Add fresh ice and sparkling water when serving again.
