Equipment

  • Tall glasses
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • A large spoon or stirrer
  • Ice cube tray
  • Citrus juicer (optional)

Ingredients

For 4 servings, gather:

  • 2 cups cranberry juice
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice about 3-4 oranges
  • 1/2 cup orange liqueur
  • 2 cups club soda or sparkling water
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup
  • Ice cubes
  • Orange slices and fresh cranberries for garnish

Use 100% cranberry juice for a tart flavor, or cranberry cocktail for a sweeter taste. Fresh orange juice gives the best flavor, but store-bought works too.

Instructions

Fill 4 tall glasses with ice cubes.

    In each glass, add:

    • 1/2 cup cranberry juice
    • 1/4 cup orange juice
    • 1 tablespoon simple syrup
    • Stir the juices and syrup gently.
    • Top each glass with 1/2 cup club soda or sparkling water.
    • Stir lightly to mix.
    • Garnish with orange slices and fresh cranberries.

Serve right away while the drinks are cold and bubbly.

      Notes

Make it boozy: Add 1 ounce of vodka or gin to each glass before the soda.
For a sweeter drink, use more simple syrup.
Try different juices like grapefruit or pomegranate for variety.
Make a big batch in a pitcher, but add the soda just before serving to keep it fizzy.
Use frozen cranberries as ice cubes to keep the drink cold without watering it down.
