Cranberry Orange Punch Cocktail Recipe
This drink brings together tart cranberry and zesty orange. It’s so straightforward, and honestly, I love not fussing around when there’s a group to serve.

Equipment

  • I usually reach for a big pitcher or a punch bowl to mix everything up.
  • A long spoon’s handy for stirring, and I grab a measuring cup to keep things on track.
  • If I’m squeezing fresh oranges, a citrus juicer is a must.
  • For serving, glass tumblers or little punch cups do the trick.
  • To keep things cold without watering it down, I’ll use regular ice cubes or sometimes a big ice ring if I’m feeling fancy.
  • A fine mesh strainer is nice to have if the orange juice is pulpy or there are seeds floating around.

Ingredients

Base Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cranberry juice
  • 1 cup orange juice freshly squeezed or bottled
  • 2 cups lemon-lime soda like Sprite or 7-Up
  • 1 cup vodka

To garnish:

  • Fresh cranberries
  • Orange slices
  • Mint leaves

Instructions

  • First, I pour the cranberry juice and orange juice into my pitcher or bowl. I give it a quick stir to mix things up.
  • If I’m including vodka, I add it in now. Then I carefully pour in the lemon-lime soda and stir gently, so I don’t lose all that fizz.
  • I’ll taste it here and decide if it needs a little simple syrup or honey. If it does, I just add a bit and stir again.
  • After that, I add ice or an ice ring to the bowl. I toss in some fresh cranberries, a few orange slices, and maybe a sprig of mint for that extra pop of color and flavor.
  • I pour into glasses and serve right away. That’s it—super simple.

Notes

Fresh orange juice really brightens the punch, but bottled juice works too. If I’m skipping the vodka, it’s still plenty flavorful and refreshing.
I usually mix it up just before serving so the soda doesn’t go flat. For bigger groups, I’ll double or triple everything—no need to overthink it.
If I want it less sweet, I’ll swap the soda for club soda or sparkling water. Using frozen cranberries instead of ice is a neat trick to keep things cold without diluting the flavor.
I try to stir gently after the soda goes in, just to keep it fizzy. It’ll keep in the fridge for a day, but honestly, it’s best fresh.
