Equipment

  • Large pitcher or punch bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Cocktail shaker (optional)
  • Bar spoon or long mixing spoon
  • Copper mugs or sturdy glasses
  • Ice bucket or tray
  • Citrus juicer
  • Serving ladle

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups vodka classic base for Moscow mules
  • 2 cups cranberry juice sweet and tart
  • 1 cup orange juice fresh or bottled
  • 3 cups ginger beer or spicy ginger beer
  • 2 tbsp simple syrup equal parts sugar and water
  • 0.5 cup lime juice fresh is best
  • 0.5 cup fresh or frozen cranberries for garnish
  • orange wedges from 1 orange, for garnish
  • ice cubes as needed

Instructions

  • Fill a large pitcher or punch bowl halfway with ice cubes.
  • Pour in vodka, cranberry juice, orange juice, and lime juice.
  • Stir in simple syrup until well combined.
  • Slowly add ginger beer, pouring gently to preserve fizz.
  • Stir gently with a bar spoon to mix without losing bubbles.
  • Add fresh or frozen cranberries and orange wedges for garnish.
  • Pour into copper mugs or glasses, making sure each serving has garnish.
  • Top with extra ginger beer if desired for added fizz.

Notes

Chill juices and ginger beer before making for a crisp punch. For a sweeter version, add extra simple syrup or use ginger ale instead of ginger beer. Spicy ginger beer adds more bite, while regular is milder. For a non-alcoholic version, omit vodka and add more orange juice and ginger ale. Fresh cranberries add color, frozen ones help keep the drink colder.
