Ingredients

  • 2 oz silver tequila
  • 1 oz fresh orange juice
  • 1 oz cranberry juice
  • 1/2 oz lime juice
  • 1/2 oz triple sec
  • Salt for rim optional
  • Orange wheel and fresh cranberries for garnish
  • Ice cubes for shaking and serving

Instructions

  • Pour salt onto a small plate. Rub the rim of the glass with a lime wedge and dip in salt.
  • Fill the cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Add tequila, orange juice, cranberry juice, lime juice, and triple sec to the shaker.
  • Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until well chilled.
  • Fill the rimmed glass with fresh ice.
  • Strain the mixture into the prepared glass.
  • Garnish with an orange wheel and fresh cranberries.

Notes

The drink tastes best with fresh-squeezed orange juice rather than store-bought.
Store any leftover mixture in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
For a mocktail version, replace tequila with sparkling water and skip the triple sec.
Make a pitcher by multiplying ingredients by 8 for easy party serving.
This recipe works with both white and pink cranberry juice.
