Equipment

  • Jigger
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Strainer
  • Bar spoon
  • Rocks glass or coupe glass
  • Ice sphere mold
  • Small saucepan

Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon or vodka for lighter version
  • 1 oz cranberry juice unsweetened preferred
  • 0.5 oz rosemary simple syrup or plain simple syrup
  • 0.25 oz fresh lime juice
  • 2 dashes aromatic bitters
  • Ice cubes or large ice sphere
  • Fresh cranberries for garnish
  • Rosemary sprig for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Measure out bourbon, cranberry juice, rosemary syrup, lime juice, and bitters with jigger.
  • Add all ingredients to the shaker. Shake for 15 seconds until cold.
  • Place an ice sphere or fresh ice into a rocks glass.
  • Strain the cocktail into the glass over the ice.
  • Garnish with rosemary sprig and fresh cranberries.

Notes

Make rosemary syrup ahead by simmering rosemary in simple syrup. Vodka can be used instead of bourbon. An ice sphere keeps the drink cold longer. Add bitters to taste. Top with prosecco or sparkling water for a lighter variation.
