Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 2 oz cranberry juice sweetened or unsweetened
  • 4 oz ginger beer or ginger ale for milder flavor
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • ice cubes
  • fresh lime slices for garnish
  • fresh cranberries for garnish
  • simple syrup to taste, optional
  • sprig of rosemary for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • Fill your mug or glass with ice to the top.
  • Pour in vodka, cranberry juice, and fresh lime juice.
  • Top with ginger beer (or ginger ale).
  • Stir gently to mix everything together.
  • Taste and add simple syrup if you like it sweeter; stir again.
  • Garnish with a lime slice, a few cranberries, and a sprig of rosemary if desired.

Notes

If you use 100% cranberry juice, add a little simple syrup to balance the tartness. Sweetened juice makes it softer. Copper mugs keep it icy cold, but a regular glass works fine. Ginger beer gives a spicy punch; ginger ale is milder. Fresh lime juice makes a big difference. Always taste before serving and tweak the sweetness if needed.
