Equipment

  • Champagne flute
  • Measuring jigger
  • Mixing spoon
  • Small plate or shallow dish
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Cocktail pick

Ingredients

  • 2 oz cranberry juice unsweetened or sweetened
  • 4 oz champagne or sparkling wine chilled
  • 0.5 oz orange liqueur such as Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • fresh cranberries for garnish
  • rosemary sprig optional, for garnish
  • sugar optional, for rimming glass

Instructions

  • Chill a champagne flute in the fridge for 10 minutes. Rim with sugar if desired.
  • Pour cranberry juice into the flute, then add orange liqueur.
  • Slowly top with chilled champagne or sparkling wine. Stir gently to mix.
  • Garnish with fresh cranberries and a rosemary sprig if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use unsweetened cranberry juice for tartness, or sweetened for a smoother sip. Dry sparkling wine like Prosecco or Cava is a great substitute for champagne. Rosemary adds a festive aroma and frozen cranberries keep your drink cold without watering it down.
