Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Margarita glass or coupe
  • Jigger
  • Small plate (for rim)
  • Bar spoon
  • Citrus juicer
  • Strainer
  • Tongs
  • Ice cubes

Ingredients

  • 2 oz blanco tequila or white tequila
  • 1 oz triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 1 oz lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 oz cream soda or vanilla soda
  • 0.5 cup pink cotton candy for garnish and sweetness
  • ice cubes for shaking
  • pink sugar for rimming the glass
  • sparkling water or margarita mix optional, splash to taste for a lighter style
  • 1 pinch edible glitter optional

Instructions

  • Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a chilled margarita (or coupe) glass and dip the rim in pink sugar.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add tequila, triple sec, and fresh lime juice.
  • Shake hard for about 15 seconds until very cold, then strain into the prepared glass.
  • Top with cream (or vanilla) soda for a fizzy finish. Add a small splash of sparkling water or margarita mix if you prefer it lighter.
  • Use tongs to place a tuft of pink cotton candy on top just before serving; sprinkle with a pinch of edible glitter if desired.

Notes

Add the cotton candy right at the table so it slowly melts into the drink, tinting it pink and adding sweetness. Fresh lime juice keeps it bright; cut back the soda for a stronger, less sweet sip. Serve immediately to preserve bubbles and color.
