Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Citrus juicer
  • Mixing spoon
  • Strainer
  • Highball or collins glass
  • Ice cubes
  • Small plate for salt or sugar rim

Ingredients

  • 2 oz blanco tequila
  • 1 oz lime juice fresh
  • 2 oz grapefruit juice
  • 1 oz coconut water
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup adjust to taste
  • 2 oz grapefruit soda
  • ice cubes
  • lime wedge or mint sprig for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  • Add tequila, lime juice, grapefruit juice, coconut water, and simple syrup.
  • Shake hard for about 10 seconds until icy cold.
  • Strain into a chilled highball or Collins glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Top with grapefruit soda and give a gentle stir to combine.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge or mint sprig and serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh juices for best flavor. Skip the simple syrup for a drier drink or add a pinch of salt to make the citrus pop. Rim the glass with salt or sugar if you like, and keep ingredients cold for maximum fizz and minimal dilution.
