Coconut Collins Cocktail Recipe

Coconut Collins Cocktail Recipe
I love mixing up a simple, tropical twist on the classic Tom Collins. The Coconut Collins blends refreshing coconut water with the zing of lime and the fizz of soda water. It's perfect for sunny days or relaxing evenings 🍹. Here’s how I make it:

Total Time 5 minutes
Serving Size 1

Equipment

  • A shaker is essential for mixing everything smoothly.
  • I also use a jigger for accurate measurements.
  • A good strainer helps keep any pulp or ice out of the glass.
  • And, of course, I rely on a long spoon for stirring. Don’t forget a tall glass to show off your drink!

Ingredients

For this delicious cocktail, I gather all the ingredients before starting. Here’s what I need:

  • 1 ½ oz gin
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 2 oz coconut water
  • Soda water
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime wheel and coconut flakes for garnish optional

I make sure everything is fresh, especially the lime juice. 🍋

Instructions

  • First, I combine the gin, lime juice, simple syrup, and coconut water in a shaker. I fill the shaker with ice and shake well. Then, I strain the mixture into a tall glass filled with ice cubes.
  • I top it off with soda water for that delightful fizz.
  • A gentle stir with my long spoon does the trick.
  • Finally, a lime wheel and a sprinkle of coconut flakes make it picture-perfect!

Notes

I find that fresh lime juice gives the best flavor. If I want a sweeter drink, I add a touch more simple syrup. It’s important to use good quality gin for a smooth taste. Also, I sometimes try flavored soda water for a fun twist. Feel free to share your own versions in the comments below! 🚀
