This Spanish wine punch combines red wine, fresh fruit, and a splash of brandy for a refreshing drink perfect for parties and warm weather gatherings.

Large glass pitcher (64 oz/2L capacity)
Sharp knife and cutting board
Long wooden spoon for stirring

Ingredients
2bottles750ml each dry red wine (Rioja or Tempranillo)
1/2cupbrandy
1/4cuptriple sec
2orangessliced
2lemonssliced
2limessliced
2applescored and chopped
1/4cupsugar
2cupscold club soda
Instructions
Slice all fruits into thin rounds or small chunks.
Add sugar to the pitcher and pour in the brandy. Stir until sugar starts to dissolve.
Add the sliced fruit to the pitcher.
Pour in the red wine and triple sec. Stir gently to mix.
Place the pitcher in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or up to 8 hours.
Just before serving, add the club soda and stir gently.
Notes
The sangria tastes best when made at least 2 hours ahead to let the flavors blend.Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 48 hours. The fruit may become softer over time.For a sweeter drink, add more sugar 1 tablespoon at a time.Choose a dry red wine - sweet wines can make the sangria too sugary.
