Ingredients

  • 2 oz blanco tequila
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 4-6 oz Topo Chico or sparkling mineral water
  • ice cubes
  • lime wedge for garnish
  • tajín or salt for rimming, optional
  • jalapeño slices or grapefruit juice optional for a twist

Instructions

  • Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
  • Add 2 oz tequila blanco.
  • Pour in 1 oz fresh lime juice.
  • Top with sparkling mineral water like Topo Chico.
  • Stir gently with a bar spoon.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge or jalapeño slice if desired.
  • Optional: Rim the glass with salt or tajín before adding ingredients.

Notes

Use quality tequila for best flavor. Topo Chico is preferred for its bubbles and minerals. Try mezcal for a smoky version, or add grapefruit juice for a twist. Chill tequila and mineral water ahead for parties.
