Equipment

  • Copper mug
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Spoon: For stirring.
  • Ice scoop
  • Knife for cutting garnishes
  • Cutting Board

Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1/2 oz lime juice
  • 4-6 oz ginger beer
  • 1/4 oz pastel-colored liqueur like blue curaçao
  • Ice cubes
  • Peeps marshmallow for garnish
  • Jelly beans for garnish
  • Lime wheel for garnish

Pick a good quality vodka as the base. Fresh lime juice tastes better than bottled, and choose a spicy ginger beer for more kick. The pastel liqueur adds Easter flair.

Instructions

  • Fill a copper mug with ice.
  • Pour in vodka and lime juice.
  • Add the pastel liqueur.
  • Top with ginger beer.
  • Stir gently to mix.
  • Garnish with a Peeps marshmallow, a few jelly beans, and a lime wheel.

Make sure to add the ginger beer last. This keeps it fizzy. Stir just enough to blend flavors without losing carbonation. The colorful garnishes make it extra festive.

    Notes

This drink is best served very cold, so chill the mug beforehand if possible. You can swap vodka for gin if you prefer. For a non-alcoholic version, use lemon-lime soda instead of vodka and liqueur.
Don't overdo the pastel liqueur. A little goes a long way, and too much can make the drink too sweet. Feel free to mix up the candy garnishes based on your Easter favorites.
