Ingredients

  • 2 cups bourbon whiskey or rye whiskey
  • 0.5 cup maple syrup or simple syrup
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cups cold water or club soda
  • 2-3 cinnamon sticks
  • lemon slices for garnish
  • apple slices optional, for garnish
  • star anise optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • Pour whiskey, maple syrup or simple syrup, vanilla extract, and lemon juice into a punch bowl.
  • Stir with a large spoon until well blended.
  • Add cold water or club soda and stir again.
  • Add cinnamon sticks and let steep for 15-20 minutes for spice flavor.
  • Fill glasses with ice and pour in punch.
  • Garnish with lemon slices, apple slices, or a cinnamon stick.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

Bourbon whiskey adds a sweet, smooth flavor, while rye brings extra spice. Adjust syrup to taste. Remove cinnamon sticks before storing leftovers to avoid overpowering spice.
