  • Jigger
  • Peeler or knife
  • Muddler
  • Large ice cube tray
  • Strainer

Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon or whiskey
  • 0.5 oz cinnamon syrup or cinnamon-infused simple syrup
  • 3 dash Angostura bitters
  • 1 dash orange bitters optional
  • 0.25 oz vanilla syrup or 2-3 drops vanilla extract
  • orange peel for garnish
  • cinnamon stick for garnish
  • 1 large ice cube

Instructions

  • Add large ice cube to a rocks glass.
  • Pour in bourbon, cinnamon syrup, and vanilla syrup (or extract).
  • Add Angostura bitters and orange bitters if using.
  • Stir gently for 20–30 seconds to chill and blend.
  • Express orange peel over glass, then drop in.

Notes

Adjust cinnamon and vanilla to taste. Use a cinnamon stick to infuse more flavor as you sip. Spicier bourbons bring out the cinnamon more, while softer ones highlight the vanilla.
