Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh orange juice about 2–3 oranges
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon syrup homemade or store-bought
  • 1 cup sparkling water or club soda or ginger ale
  • ice cubes
  • orange slices for garnish
  • fresh mint leaves optional, for garnish
  • rosemary sprig optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • Juice oranges to yield about 1 cup fresh juice.
  • Make cinnamon syrup: simmer honey or maple syrup with a cinnamon stick and splash of water; cool and strain.
  • Fill glasses with ice. In a pitcher, combine orange juice and cinnamon syrup. Stir well.
  • Strain mixture into serving glasses.
  • Top off each glass with sparkling water, club soda, or ginger ale.
  • Garnish with orange slices, mint, or rosemary. Serve immediately.

Notes

Fresh orange juice and homemade cinnamon syrup make this special. Adjust the amount of syrup for more or less spice. For a sweeter, more spiced version, use ginger ale.
