  • Knife and cutting board
  • Small plate
  • Citrus juicer
  • Ice

Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon whiskey
  • 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz pure maple syrup
  • 0.25 tsp ground cinnamon or 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 egg white egg white or aquafaba optional, for creamy texture
  • lemon wheel or twist for garnish
  • cinnamon stick for garnish
  • ice

Instructions

  • Pour bourbon, lemon juice, maple syrup, and cinnamon (ground or stick) into a cocktail shaker.
  • Add egg white or aquafaba if desired for a creamy texture.
  • Add ice to the shaker and shake well for about 15 seconds.
  • Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
  • Garnish with a lemon wheel or twist and a cinnamon stick. Optionally dust with a pinch of ground cinnamon.

Notes

Use real maple syrup for best flavor. Adjust lemon or maple to taste. Aquafaba (chickpea liquid) is a good vegan alternative to egg white. Rimming the glass with cinnamon sugar adds a festive touch.
