Ingredients

  • 1 bottle white wine Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio
  • 0.5 cup apple cider
  • 0.5 cup cranberry juice
  • 0.25 cup Cointreau or orange liqueur
  • 0.25 cup vodka
  • 2 tbsp honey or simple syrup
  • 1 apple chopped
  • 1 orange sliced into rounds
  • 0.5 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • 0.5 cup ginger ale or club soda for topping
  • ice for serving
  • merlot or red wine optional, for richer color
  • lemon or lime slices optional

Instructions

  • Slice apple and orange. Add to a large pitcher with cranberries and cinnamon stick.
  • Pour in white wine, apple cider, cranberry juice, Cointreau, and vodka.
  • Stir in honey or simple syrup until dissolved.
  • Add rosemary sprigs. Chill in fridge for at least 2 hours.
  • Top with ginger ale or club soda and more ice before serving. Pour into glasses, making sure everyone gets fruit and cinnamon.

Notes

For richer sangria, use red wine or merlot. Add more honey for sweetness or extra citrus for tang. Chilling overnight brings out even more flavor.
