Instructions
Rim your rocks glass with chocolate sauce, then dip in crushed candy canes. Add a big ice cube to the glass.
In a mixing glass, combine bourbon, chocolate liqueur, peppermint schnapps or extract, and mint syrup. Add chocolate bitters or chocolate syrup.
Stir with a bar spoon for about 20 seconds until chilled. Strain into your prepared glass over the ice.
Garnish with a candy cane or small peppermint stick. Serve immediately.
Notes
Peppermint extract is strong; just a drop or two is enough. Adjust syrup or bitters to taste. Use big ice cubes to keep it cold and less diluted. Crème de cacao adds richer chocolate flavor.
