Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 4 oz ginger beer chilled
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 tsp chili powder medium or to taste
  • 1 small red chili slice optional, for garnish
  • 1 cooked prawn with tail on, for garnish
  • 2-3 lime wedges
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  • Add vodka, lime juice, and chili powder to a cocktail shaker.
  • Add ice and shake well for about 10 seconds.
  • Strain into a chilled mule mug or highball packed with ice.
  • Pour ginger beer over the top and stir gently.
  • Squeeze in a lime wedge and drop it in the glass.
  • Skewer the prawn and balance on the rim. Garnish with chili slice if desired.

Notes

Medium chili powder brings enough heat without overpowering. Fresh lime juice is essential. Chilling the glass keeps the drink extra refreshing. Prawn garnish adds savory aroma and a fun party touch.
