2bottles white winePinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc
2cupsfresh cherriespitted and halved
3limesjuiced (about 1/4 cup juice)
1/4cupsimple syrup
2cupslime seltzer water
Ice for serving
Optional garnish: Fresh cherries and lime wheels
Instructions
Add pitted and halved cherries to the pitcher.
Pour both bottles of wine over the cherries.
Add lime juice and simple syrup to the mixture.
Stir gently with a wooden spoon to combine.
Cover and refrigerate for 4-6 hours or overnight.
Just before serving, add the lime seltzer water and stir.
Pour into ice-filled glasses.
Add a fresh cherry and lime wheel garnish to each glass.
Notes
Store leftover sangria in the refrigerator for up to 2 days without the seltzer water.Add the seltzer water only when ready to serve to keep the bubbles fresh.For a stronger cherry flavor, muddle half of the cherries before adding to the pitcher.For a sweeter drink, add more simple syrup one tablespoon at a time.
