Ingredients

  • 2 oz silver tequila
  • 4 fresh cherries pitted (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • Club soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Add pitted cherries to the cocktail shaker and muddle until well crushed.
  • Pour in tequila, lemon juice, and simple syrup.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake for 15-20 seconds.
  • Strain the mixture into a Collins glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Top with club soda and stir gently.
  • Garnish with fresh cherries and mint leaves.

Notes

Store fresh cherries in the fridge for up to a week. Frozen cherries work too, but let them thaw first.
For a stronger cherry flavor, add 1/2 oz of cherry liqueur.
Multiply the recipe by 6-8 servings to make a big batch for parties. Mix everything except club soda in advance.
Keep simple syrup in the fridge for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.
