Ingredients

  • 6 fresh cherries pitted and halved
  • 0.5 lime cut into wedges
  • 2 tsp white sugar or to taste
  • 2 oz cachaça
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • Ice cubes enough to fill glass
  • Extra cherry or lime wedge for garnish

Instructions

  • Place the cherries and lime wedges in a short glass.
  • Add sugar on top of the fruit.
  • Muddle the fruit until juice mixes with the sugar.
  • Pour in cachaça and lime juice.
  • Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  • Stir gently until well mixed.
  • Garnish with a cherry or lime wedge before serving.

Notes

Adjust sugar based on cherry sweetness. Swap half the cachaça for sparkling water for a lighter version. Frozen cherries can be used if thawed before muddling.
