Equipment

  • Large punch bowl or serving pitcher (2-gallon capacity)
  • Long-handled spoon for mixing
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Ice cube trays
  • Serving ladle
  • Drinking glasses

Ingredients

  • 2 liters Sprite or lemon-lime soda
  • 4 cups cherry blossom tea chilled
  • 2 cups white grape juice
  • 1 cup grenadine syrup
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • Fresh cherries for garnish
  • Mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Brew cherry blossom tea using 4 tea bags in 4 cups of hot water. Let steep for 5 minutes.
  • Remove tea bags and refrigerate tea until cold, about 2 hours.
  • Pour the chilled tea into a large punch bowl.
  • Add white grape juice, grenadine syrup, and lemon juice. Stir to mix.
  • Slowly pour in the Sprite to keep the fizz.
  • Add ice cubes just before serving.
  • Float fresh cherries and mint leaves on top.

Notes

Store any leftover punch without ice in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
The drink will taste best when served right away while the Sprite is still fizzy.
Make sure all ingredients are well-chilled before mixing to keep the drink cold without watering it down.
For a stronger cherry flavor, add an extra 1/4 cup of grenadine.
