Add gin, cherry liqueur, lemon juice, simple syrup, and rose water to the shaker.
Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds until well-chilled.
Double strain through a Hawthorne strainer and fine-mesh strainer into a chilled coupe glass.
Garnish with a fresh cherry or edible flower.
Notes
The cocktail works best with a London Dry style gin as its botanical notes complement the cherry flavor. After opening, store cherry liqueur in a cool, dark place. It will stay fresh for up to 6 months. For a non-alcoholic version, replace gin with club soda and use cherry syrup instead of liqueur.Make simple syrup by combining equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan. Heat until sugar dissolves, then cool before using.
