A comforting hot cocktail combining creamy chai-spiced milk with smooth whiskey. Spices like cinnamon, cardamom, and clove blend perfectly with the whiskey for a warming, cozy drink that’s perfect for cool evenings.
Heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium until it starts to steam.
Add chai tea bags, cinnamon stick, cloves, ginger, cardamom, and black pepper. Let steep for 5–7 minutes.
Remove tea bags and strain out the whole spices.
Stir in sugar until dissolved.
Froth the milk mixture with a whisk or immersion blender if desired.
Pour into a heatproof mug.
Add whiskey or bourbon and stir gently.
Sprinkle ground cinnamon on top before serving.
Notes
Adjust sweetness and spice to taste. Oat milk gives a creamier texture than almond milk. A cinnamon stick garnish works as a stirrer and adds extra aroma.
