Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon
  • 1 oz brewed chai tea cooled, strong
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 2 dashes bitters
  • ice cubes
  • ground cinnamon for garnish
  • 1 star anise pod for garnish

Instructions

  • Brew the chai tea and let it cool completely.
  • Fill the cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Add bourbon, cooled chai tea, simple syrup, lemon juice, and bitters to the shaker.
  • Shake well for about 20 seconds.
  • Strain the mixture into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
