Equipment

  • Glass pitcher or mixing bowl
  • Long spoon or stir stick
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Citrus juicer or reamer
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Small sieve
  • Tall glasses
  • Ice cube tray
  • Muddler

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cranberry juice 100% juice for best flavor
  • 2 cups sparkling water or club soda
  • 1/2 cup orange juice fresh squeezed preferred
  • 1/4 cup lime juice fresh is best
  • 2 tablespoons honey, maple syrup, or simple syrup sweeten to taste
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate juice optional
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen cranberries plus extra for garnish
  • ice cubes enough to fill each glass
  • 2-3 sprigs fresh rosemary for garnish and herbal note

Instructions

  • Pour cranberry juice, orange juice, lime juice, and pomegranate juice into a large pitcher.
  • Stir in honey, maple syrup, or simple syrup until dissolved.
  • Add ice cubes and most of the cranberries to the pitcher.
  • Slowly add sparkling water or club soda and stir gently to preserve bubbles.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  • For stronger flavor, muddle a few cranberries and a rosemary sprig in the glass or shaker before pouring in the mix.
  • Strain into glasses filled with ice.
  • Splash more sparkling water on top if desired, and garnish with cranberries and a rosemary sprig.

Notes

Fresh juice is best, but bottled works if unsweetened. Frozen cranberries keep drinks cold without watering down. Start with less sweetener and add more if your juice is already sweet. Rosemary can be strong; use lightly. Clear glasses show off the color and garnishes!
