Equipment

  • Large pitcher or punch bowl
  • Measuring jigger or cup
  • Mixing spoon
  • Citrus juicer
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Ice scoop
  • Serving glasses

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark rum
  • 1 cup light rum
  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 1.5 cups orange juice
  • 0.5 cup lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 0.25 cup grenadine syrup
  • 2 tbsp simple syrup optional, to taste
  • ice cubes
  • fruit slices orange, lime, or pineapple; for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a large pitcher halfway with ice.
  • Pour in the dark rum, light rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, and lime juice.
  • Add grenadine and simple syrup if using; stir gently until combined.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as desired.
  • Chill for at least 30 minutes.
  • Serve over ice and garnish with fruit slices.

Notes

Use freshly squeezed lime juice for the brightest flavor. Chill the juices beforehand and avoid adding ice to the pitcher if you won’t serve immediately to prevent dilution. For sparkle, top individual glasses with a splash of club soda or ginger ale.
Nutrition is estimated per 1 serving assuming simple syrup is omitted; values will vary with brand and portion size.
