  • 2 cups cubed ripe cantaloupe
  • 4 oz white rum
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 8-10 fresh mint leaves
  • Ice cubes
  • Club soda
  • Cantaloupe wedges and mint sprigs for garnish

Choose a ripe, sweet cantaloupe for the best flavor. Fresh mint and lime juice add brightness to the drink.

Instructions

  • Puree cantaloupe in a blender until smooth.
  • In a cocktail shaker, muddle mint leaves with simple syrup.
  • Add cantaloupe puree, rum, lime juice, and ice to the shaker.
  • Shake well for 10-15 seconds.
  • Strain into tall glasses filled with ice.
  • Top with a splash of club soda.

    Notes
