Equipment

  • Tall clear glasses (to show layers)
  • Measuring cups/spoons
  • Small saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Mixing bowls (for layering)
  • Long-handled spoon (for layering drinks)
  • Ice scoop
  • Piping bag or spoon (for whipped cream)
  • Straws (optional)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 1/2 cup water for candy corn syrup
  • 2 cups orange soda or orange juice

  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda e.g., Sprite
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine candy corn and 1/2 cup water. Heat on medium, stirring until candy melts and forms a syrup. Let cool.
  • Fill each tall glass halfway with ice.
  • Add about 1½ tablespoons of the candy corn syrup to the bottom of each glass.
  • Slowly pour in orange soda or orange juice, filling the glass just under halfway.
  • Gently layer pineapple juice over the back of a spoon to create a clean layer above the orange.
  • Top with a splash of lemon-lime soda for the lightest layer.
  • Add a swirl of whipped cream on top.
  • Garnish with a few pieces of candy corn.
