  • Cocktail shaker
  • Muddler
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Highball glass
  • Bar spoon or long spoon
  • Small plate
  • Straw
  • Ice cube tray

Ingredients

  • 6 leaves fresh mint
  • 1 small candy cane
  • 0.5 lime cut into wedges
  • 2 tsp simple syrup
  • 2 oz white rum
  • ice cubes
  • club soda to top
  • extra mint sprigs for garnish
  • extra candy cane for garnish

Instructions

  • Add mint leaves and lime wedges to a highball glass.
  • Sprinkle in simple syrup and break up a small candy cane, adding it to the glass.
  • Muddle the mint, lime, and candy cane together.
  • Pour in the white rum.
  • Fill the glass with ice cubes and stir well.
  • Top with club soda or sparkling water.
  • Garnish with a mint sprig and extra candy cane. Serve immediately.

Notes

Rim the glass with crushed candy canes for extra flair. Adjust sweetness to taste by adding more simple syrup or candy cane. Use peppermint simple syrup for a bolder peppermint flavor.
