Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 oz heavy cream

  • ground nutmeg pinch, plus more for garnish
  • 0.5 oz brandy or rum optional, for depth

Instructions

  • Warm the heavy cream with brown sugar in a small saucepan until the sugar is melted.
  • Pour the mixture into a cocktail shaker.
  • Add bourbon, eggnog, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake until chilled and frothy.
  • Strain into a rocks glass.
  • Garnish with a cinnamon stick and freshly grated nutmeg.

Notes

Adjust sweetness to taste by varying the brown sugar. Use homemade or store-bought eggnog. A dusting of fresh nutmeg on top enhances aroma and flavor. Try adding brandy or rum for extra depth. For a lighter drink, reduce cream.
