Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon
  • 1 oz espresso or strong brewed coffee
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin puree
  • 0.5 oz maple syrup or more to taste
  • 0.25 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 0.25 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup milk or oat milk
  • ice cubes if serving chilled
  • whipped cream for topping
  • cinnamon or nutmeg for garnish
  • cinnamon stick optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • Warm milk or oat milk in a small saucepan until steaming but not boiling.
  • Whisk in pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Pour the mixture into a cocktail shaker.
  • Add bourbon and freshly brewed espresso. Shake well if serving iced, or stir if serving hot.
  • Strain into a mug or glass.
  • Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg. Garnish with a cinnamon stick if desired.

Notes

Use oat milk for a dairy-free version. Adjust maple syrup to taste. Try a double shot of espresso for more coffee flavor. This cocktail can be served hot or over ice—just shake with ice and strain for a cold version.
