This Bourbon Chai Toddy is the ultimate cozy cocktail—warming bourbon meets spicy chai, honey, lemon, and a touch of cinnamon. Comforting, balanced, and easy to make for fall or winter nights.
Heat water in a small saucepan until hot but not boiling.
Steep the chai tea bag (or loose tea) for 4–5 minutes, then remove or strain.
Stir in honey or maple syrup until fully dissolved.
Add fresh lemon juice and bourbon. Stir gently.
Pour the toddy into a mug and garnish with a cinnamon stick, clove, or orange slice.
For a creamier drink, add a splash of almond milk or a drop of vanilla extract if desired.
Notes
Fresh spices make the biggest flavor impact. For stronger chai, steep longer or use chai syrup. Swap bourbon for whiskey or dark rum for a twist. Garnish with nutmeg or extra citrus as desired. Adjust sweetness to taste!
